The laboratory pursues computational epigenomics research at Granada University (Spain), developing and applying new tools to explore the epigenome.  The work of the laboratory is supervised by José L. Oliver, Ph.D., Professor of Genetics at the Granada University, Faculty of Sciences.

The work of the JL Oliver laboratory is supported by grants from the Spanish Government and Junta de Andalucía, Spain (Plan Andaluz de Investigación).

José L. Oliver received a PhD from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1977. The laboratory was established when JL Oliver took a faculty position at Madrid in 1978 and then moved to Granada University in 1987. Prof. Oliver teaches genetics, genomics, biocomputing and molecular evolution courses.
